About Us

Why should you choose Royal River Massage?

Our massage therapists are no ordinary therapists. We all hold a license in massage, but also a bachelor degree. Our additional schooling and continuing educational courses in massage, have set us apart from your average therapist. Our knowledge of the human body and anatomy can help assist you with your goals, aid in stress reduction, and ease your sore and tense muscles with specific techniques.

Lisa Morse, BS
Owner/ Massage Therapist

I spent 10 years of my childhood as a competitive gymnast. Through my training I learned extensively about the human body. This passion translated into a BS in Exercise Physiology in 2002. I started my career at an out-patient physical therapy facility. In 2006, I obtained a state license to practice therapeutic massage. These two degrees along with my strong work ethic and experience, have led me to provide exceptional rehabilitative care for clients of all types.  Depending  on my clients needs, I use a variety of massage techniques to achieve the desired outcome.

Carmen Peterson, BS
Massage Therapist

Carmen studied massage therapy at Arcata School of massage in CA, and holds a BS in both Psychology and Outdoor Recreation and Environmental Studies. She has a strong background in anatomy and physiology and utilizes an integrated approach of Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial and trigger point release techniques to help her clients find restorative balance and wellness in their bodies. When not practicing massage, Carmen focuses on youth leadership development through guiding experiential education expeditions, and is passionate about cycling, volunteering and respectfully caring for the environment. She is a board certified massage therapist and is recognized by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
